Spread the word, guys. This is, like, REALLY serious.

There is a group of people who call themselves the Literate Union or LU who are trolling ff.net to delete or flame stories that don't fit the rules. and people, this includes fics that come under the MA category! I'm copy pasting their list of rules here :

"What sort of stories do you target?

-Smut/MA/graphic

- Chat/IM/script/Truth or Dare

- Stories with poor grammar/spelling/punctuation

- Interactive stories

- Stories that advertise

- Non-chapter stories (such as A/N chapters, polls, announcements etc.)

- List stories"

So if you have a particularly explicit fic up on ff.net, make sure its backed up because several fics have already been deleted because of their reports, including popular ones, apparently. please warn authors you think can be affected. The LU use a bot to screen ff.net which violates the TOS of the site but the mods dont seem to care. so beware people, if you have too much conversation, spell like a Britisher or have certain MA "phrases" then your fic is going to come up for LU inspection.

No i am not making this up. This is their website literateunion.blogspot.com/ This is other stuff about them :

DO NOT ATTACK THE PEOPLE THAT ARE A PART OF THIS. IT ONLY LOWERS YOURSELF TO THEIR LEVEL.

was going to join this group, but I saw this journal and realized I'd fit in horribly here. You people do realize that the LU is only reporting stories that break SPECIFICALLY STATED RULES, dontcha? Any halfbrain with a computer can hop on over to FFNet's guidelines and see that all those listed stories right there are PROHIBITED BY THE FFNET GUIDELINES. The LU is just doing what FFNet is asking its users to do, which is report stories that break the rules. If you want to post smut, then you can go to livejournal or adultfanfiction or tumblr or any number of other sites that allow smut. There's absolutely no reason to get so incredibly butthurt over this one group when they're not doing anything wrong.

I posted a journal to warn some of my watchers who are on FF.net about this.

Thats absolutely horrid. Who gave them the right to delete fics off of ff.net they don't think fits their "guidelines"? Authors spend a lot of time writing their fics and to someone to just delete them...they're horrible. >:(

Maybe, but the site may ban people who lie about their age.
